Canada-based extreme skier, paraglider and filmmaker of Polish descent. In the 1970s and 1980s, he made numerous first descents on skis from outstanding North American peaks, including Mount Robson. He has participated in exploratory expeditions across South America, including to the Arachuaco and Kogi peoples in the inaccessible Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. He also produces documentaries on extreme skiing and paragliding. Several of these have been awarded at film festivals. In his travels, the author has always been accompanied by a camera, which has resulted in more than a dozen films documenting skiing activities in those years.
These were usually low-budget productions that were made with great difficulty – often thanks to various tricks. As a filmmaker, he also took part in an expedition around the world in a DC Dakota aircraft from the Second World War.
He has written a number of articles in the professional ski press. He is currently passionate about organising and popularising a new discipline in Latin countries – Aerothlon, consisting of three competitions: running, mountain biking and paragliding.
