Alex Buisse

Alex Buisse is a director, photographer, and co-founder of Peak 4122 Media. Over the past two decades, his work has evolved from adventure photography in Chamonix to photographing the Olympics, directing documentaries, and producing commercial photoshoots. Though adventure remains his first love, Alex avoids being pigeonholed, having also worked in industrial, automotive, portrait, and humanitarian fields. A French native with a strong preference for Italian food and wine (quietly), he balances creative work with a deep connection to the outdoors. He directs and produces for Peak 4122 Media alongside Toby Roney, who leads cinematography and editing. The team works across Canada, France, and the UK. In 2023–2024, Alex travelled the world with his wife and two young children, documenting climbing spots and family adventures across six continents. He actively participates in most of the sports he photographs, with exceptions like BASE jumping, and embraces even those he’s not great at—such as surfing—with enthusiasm. He holds several first ascents, including previously unnamed peaks in Greenland and an accidental summit in Chamonix that became Voie des Dindons. He’s climbed over 10,000 metres on fixed ropes and no longer has a fear of heights.
