A Polish Himalayan mountaineer, who has climbed nine eight-thousanders. She was the first Polish woman to reach the summits of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Kangchenjunga. She ascended all her peaks without the use of supplemental oxygen or the personal support of Sherpas. Her ascent of Kangchenjunga was dedicated to Wanda Rutkiewicz, who disappeared on that mountain.
She is a laureate of numerous awards, including the Polish Minister of Sport Award for climbing the world’s third-highest peak, and the Gold Cross of Merit “for her contribution to the development of high-altitude mountaineering and for promoting Poland’s name worldwide.”
For several years, she was a member of the Polish Mountaineering Association’s national high-altitude climbing team and served as Vice President of the Warsaw Mountaineering Club. For many years, she has been a brand ambassador for Salewa.
She was also awarded the title of Master of Polish Speech in the national plebiscite recognizing the best speakers in Poland. She combines her extensive experience from numerous Himalayan expeditions with her professional work as a trainer and educator. She works as a psychologist and psychotherapist.
