One Italian, one French, one Swiss go to Greenland. It sounds like the beginning of a joke, but in fact it’s the story an adventurous expedition, where the three protagonists – Matteo Della
Bordella, Symon Welfringer and Silvan Schupbach- decide to join forces for an adventure that goes far beyond a climbing trip.
The trio chooses to start in Tasiilaq, and cover the 170 kilometers of approach to the wall, called Siren Tower, by sea kayak and without external support.
Once reached the mountain, Matteo, Symon and Silvan spend 6 days on the North face of the Siren Tower, and manage to open the route “forum”, 800 meters of pure free climbing, with difficulties up to 7c.
After another more relaxed new route, the tackle the long journey home with kayaks.
A difficult but yet natural and authentic adventure, travelling and climbing free across the fjord of East Greenland in “by fair means” style.
